Mourinho To Bring Sneijder Back To The Bridge
There are a few things that you can be certain of in the football world. The first is that wherever Jose Mourinho goes, he will bring success. The second is that wherever he goes, he will at some point bring a little controversy. I am under no illusion that fans would not mind a little controversy, if it was somehow guaranteed that their side was going to pick up some silverware in the season.
Being a football fan myself, and using my brain to think and not my heart. I feel that Chelsea may be the team to watch this season. Mourinho did leave the London side once before, and every football fan thought that it was strange to let a manager of his ability go. Bringing the ‘special one’ back to Chelsea is a big indication that Roman Abramovich is seeking trophies, and is wanting trophies now.
Sneijder could make move to Chelsea in January
Even though they have had a slow start to the season, the boys in blue currently sit second in the table. Their only rivals this season will be Arsenal, and that is hard to admit being a Manchester United fan. Who with a new manager in David Moyes and lack of fight in midfield, seem to be having a hard time getting teams to fear them like they did in the past. Those easy wins are just not looking like they will come this season.
The winter transfer market is already set to be one to watch. Manchester United themselves will no doubt be trying to hunt down someone who can give their midfield a Roy Keane quality. With Mourinho trying for his third premiership title, it makes sense that he is and will impose himself on his team. In this vain, his eyes are on Wesley Sneijder, who he has managed during his time at Internazionale. The quality he brings to the midfield goes without saying, and it is his obvious talents that have taken him to some of Europe’s biggest teams.
Currently the Dutch international is playing at top Turkish side Galatasaray, in a team that includes Chelsea hero Didier Drogba. With Mourinho at the helm, there is no doubt that he will build another winning side. He is of course someone who is able to win trophies in his first season with new teams. Doing so with Chelsea, Internazionale and Real Madrid. Bringing the quality of Sneijder, is another indication that the second half of the season could be where he shows that his team and his managing skills are far superior to anyone else’s in the Premiership.
