Rumours Link Chelsea’s Samuel Eto’o With Spain
Chelsea have finally taken the top spot in the Premiership, finding form and placing themselves in prime position to take the coveted league title. The only problem Mourinho may face is with the uncertain future of new striker Samuel Eto’o, who is being linked with sides back in Spain.
The former Barcelona strikers contract expires at the end of the current season, and this has the rumour mill churning out possible destinations for the 32-year old. His class is not in question, his recent hat-trick against the under performing Manchester United side clearly showed he is still an instinctive goal scorer.
Eto’o will decide future at the end of the season
Samuel Eto’o is on the cusp of finding form, and with him being such a high profile player Chelsea manager Mourinho would be sad to see him leave so early into his Chelsea career. But Mourinho is not the type to keep any player who doesn’t want to be a part of his side, especially when players such as Eden Hazard begin to show their attacking qualities.
The Cameroonian spent over ten years in Spain, where he started his career with Real Madrid. Therefore, it makes sense that he would be more comfortable in Spain. However, rumours are rumours, and Mourinho himself has stated that Samuel Eto’o is enjoying his time with the London side. But he also went on to say that things could change at the end of the season, and it will be Eto’o who will decide whether he stays or goes.
