Wenger To Make Sure Jack Wilshere Goes To Brazil
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he will do whatever it takes to make sure that Jack Wilshere is on the plane to Brazil. The player has now been told that he will be out for around two months, and this has to be a huge blow since the World Cup begins in June. Not only will the foot need to heal, but there will be an additional recovery period in which it will be seen if Wilshere will be able to recover his fitness.
Jack Wilshere will not be playing for the next six weeks, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that he will need another couple of weeks to make sure he regains full fitness. Only then will it be determined if he finds a place in the World Cup squad.
Hodgson to reveal World Cup squad
There are a lot of factors to take into consideration for this World Cup, and fitness will most definitely be one. Brazilian weather and pitches will be a huge test for every European player, and everyone of England’s players will need to be totally prepared if they are wanting to make a strong claim on the tournament.
The one bonus for the midfielder is that he has only suffered a fracture, and this means he will be back in training once its healed. Which wouldn’t have been possible had the injury been muscle or flesh based.
Hodgson will be revealing his 23-man squad for Brazil along with seven back-up players. And there is no doubt that Jack Wilshere is one of the those players despite him getting tough competition from other young English midfielders, and seasoned players. Wilshere will be keeping his fingers crossed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the club itself are able to help him through what will be a very challenging time.
